Vaporoxol 3F is a surface treated calcium oxide powder for use an effective desiccant. Ca0 is coated by a chemically indifferent hydrocarbon which reduces air pollution and prevent unwanted reaction with humidity. It is an excellent product to eliminate excessive moisture and improve quality and consistency.
Vaporoxol 3F fulfill the demanding requirements of high moisture absorbency, good dispersion in the host compounding and ease of handling. It is used in rubber industries for continuous pressure less vulcanization for polar polymers and as a result can take care of the problems of glister occurring on the rubber surface. AL FR 9 is produced by an exceptional engineered production process. It works on the basis of heat sinking and endothermic dehydration characteristics that enable alumina trihydrate to retard the burning of polymers, AL FR 9 release about 35% of its weight in the form of steam at approximately 2200 C (4280 F). This water vapor quenches the surface of surrounding materials while restricting the access of oxygen to the burning polymer and combustible and potentially toxic off-gases are also diluted by this water vapor. AL FR 9 is also improves the Arc-track resistance in electric composites by absorbing generated heat; due to the endothermic dehydration water vapor slows the surface degradation of the polymer and the resultant formation of the carbonized film or track.
The quantity of AL FR9 added to the organic matrix depends on the required flame retardant, the properties of the end products and the cost of the mixtures. AL FR 9 is better for environmental compliance as it contain no halogens or heavy metal and replaces more expensive flame retardants based on antimony metal or chlorinated and brominated (halogenated) compounds.
